David Bleser brings more than thirty years of hands-on fraud investigation and internal audit experience to the hospitality industry — built not in classrooms but in the operational realities of hotels, resorts, private clubs, and restaurants where financial risk is real, and consequences are significant.
Throughout his career, David has personally conducted more than 2,300 hospitality internal audits — identifying revenue leakage, internal control breakdowns, and material fraud exposure across a wide range of property types and operational environments. His work has consistently focused on strengthening oversight maturity, reinforcing governance discipline, and improving operational efficiency and financial performance across the hospitality industry.
He has spoken at national industry conventions on hotel fraud and internal controls, worked directly with ownership groups, asset managers, management companies, and Directors of Finance, and developed the structured audit and risk frameworks that form the foundation of every program in the Hospitality Risk Academy curriculum.
